Chicken curry recipe


Ingredients
  • Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Onions - 2 large (chopped)
  • Tomatoes - 1 medium (chopped)
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - as per the taste
  • Garam masala powder - as per the taste
  • Coriander powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Clove - 4
  • Cinnamon -2
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Salt - as per the taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Bay leaf - 1
Process
  • Firstly, wash the chicken  and keep it aside. Then, take a pan and pour oil in it. At that point include entire flavors - cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and bay leaf. Give them a chance to cook until the seeds starts to crackle.
  • Add sliced onions and chillies. Fry equally stirring often until the onions turn golden in colour.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and saute until you get a pleasant smell.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder and salt. Mix well and cook until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  • On a low flame cook until the mixture smells good and the raw smell leaves.
  • Add chicken, fry till the chicken turns pale in color, then pour water  just enough to make a thick gravy.
  • Cover and cook on a medium flame till the chicken is soft cooked and chicken gravy turns thick.
  • Finally add coriander leaves.
