Ingredients
- Chicken - 1/2 kg
- Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Onions - 2 large (chopped)
- Tomatoes - 1 medium (chopped)
- Green chillies - 2
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - as per the taste
- Garam masala powder - as per the taste
- Coriander powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Clove - 4
- Cinnamon -2
- Cardamom - 2
- Salt - as per the taste
- Coriander leaves
- Bay leaf - 1
Process
- Firstly, wash the chicken and keep it aside. Then, take a pan and pour oil in it. At that point include entire flavors - cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and bay leaf. Give them a chance to cook until the seeds starts to crackle.
- Add sliced onions and chillies. Fry equally stirring often until the onions turn golden in colour.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and saute until you get a pleasant smell.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder and salt. Mix well and cook until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
- On a low flame cook until the mixture smells good and the raw smell leaves.
- Add chicken, fry till the chicken turns pale in color, then pour water just enough to make a thick gravy.
- Cover and cook on a medium flame till the chicken is soft cooked and chicken gravy turns thick.
- Finally add coriander leaves.
